Hello Shiitake fans! Im back to investigating my super-duck, Shiitakechanchan!
I moved Shiitake’s cage to a different place today cuz well there’s a smelly pig farm beside our house, and its burning some wood and leaves and all that stuff and it smells, so I moved shiitake and myself somewhere else that is more far from the smell hehe 😀
I love it when Shiitake’s poop plate is clean, cuz then its not smelly and I can sit beside her 😛 but I don’t think shiitake likes to be clean, in fact, her goal is to be stinky, smelly, dirty. :l
New investigations:
- Her baby feathers on her head ( around her beak are all fallen off and they are all juvenile feathers now! )
- Everytime shiitake wants too be clean or feel fresh, she ( not only her, all ducks I think) puffs up her feathers like a balloon and wiggles her body! or maybe she does this to like kinda let her baby feathers fall off and grow new feathers?
- Shiitake’s eyes are getting smaller as her head gets bigger, and she really looks like a duck mama now!
- one thing that I discovered a 1 month ago but didn’t write it, that her feathers around her breast part used to be yellow but now, its completely white and she somehow also has a white dot on her tummy that she didn’t have bebore!
- When shiitake puffs up her feathers without letting it down, that means its a bit crazy and excited, and wants to play!
- Now her voice has changed completely, no more peeps, and only quacks!
- she is fatter now!
- when she has her tail facing up it doesn’t 100% mean its happy it only means when she wiggle waggles her tail
- Her butt feathers are look like a peackok and when she wiggles it, its as fast as a helicopter !!!
- Loves eating and chewing her feathers ( that means shes cleaning herself )
- idk but when I call her name she usually goes like quack!
- opens her mouth and pants when shes hot lol >:D
- loves drinking water!
- doestn get used to duck feed changing 😮
yup that’s a LOT of investigations isn’t it!
oh yes another’s biggggg news, her claws are sooooo sharp that I cant hold her anymore, becuz last time I tried to, she litterly scratched me and made my skin bleed 🙁 it didn’t hurt a lot but well I didn’t wanna get infected… but I don’t think it was infected cuz it didn’t swelll up or have any puss
by the way even tho shiitake is a duck when I wash her or when I use a hose to like kinda wash her, she’s always scared instead of enjoying it in the hot weather lol
few weeks ago when she was falling these fluffy baby feathers, she dropped lots of these cotton ball like ones, and becuz of the wind here, I thought I was a spider or like a parasite but turns out its just her fallen feathrs haha
ive been changing her duck feed a lot cuz like she eats so much that they run out super fast okey, and I noticed that she doesnt get used to duck feed that are changing cuz ducks like thinks that keep the same and like u know ye
duck fact that should have told you guys, ducks like to investigate everything with their lil beaks just like how people have hands!
oh never mind…when I called shiitake, she pooped instead of quack. :l…

hehe I put shiitake in the so she can turn into my breakfast one day! 😭 I’m just joking I put her there cuz like I want her to like have fun in the sun and like I think her likes it!
